PRODUCTS

Sodium Hydrosulfide (NaHS)

Sulphide reagents are broadly applied in mineral processing and hydrometallurgical operations. Sodium Hydrosulphide (NaHS) is used in order to separate Molybdenum Sulphide from Copper Sulphide in Flotation process. Sodium Hydrosulphide (NaHS) is also applied to reduce the concentration of residual metals, especially Cadmium, in water treatment. This way is more effective than precipitating metals as hydroxides with lime due to the ability of sulphide to decrease metal concentrations to much lower values. Although solvent extraction through electrowinning is usually preferred especially for copper, NaHS could be applied for precipitation of metals from leach solutions to reach high-grade concentration of metals. SART process (Sulphidization–Acidification–Recycle–Thickening) has been developed in the recent years for gold-copper ores in which NaHS is used to precipitate copper from cyanide leach solutions.

Sodium Sulphide Na2S

"Sodium Sulphide is highly used in the flotation process of Copper, Lead and Zinc when their ores are oxidized. Sodium Sulphide is used as an Activator to make the surfaces of intended minerals hydrophobic and sulphide.
In Flotation process of Oxide Minerals, at first, the surface of the intended Oxide Mineral should be Suphide by Sodium Sulphide, and then the collector should be added to the mixture. Adding Sodium Sulphide, increases the efficiency of the collector and consequently the whole Flotation process significantly.
0.5 - 3.0 lb/ton (0.23 – 1.36 kg/ton) of Sodium Sulphide is applied in Flotation process of Copper, Lead and Zinc ores. Given the massive production of mentioned metals which exceeds millions of tons for major mines, Sodium Sulphide has got a considerable consumption in mining industry. "

Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH)

Sodium Hydroxide (Caustic Soda) is broadly applied in the production of soaps, paper, rayon, cellophane, mercerized cotton, aluminum, and many other chemicals.
