Recycled Virgin
Polymers
There are very rare industries which have the same growth as plastic industry in the current century, both in terms of production and also variety of consumption in every moment of daily lives. However, by revealing undeniable environmental problems it is no longer easy to keep this success steady.
Except bioplastics, almost whole plastic issue is part of the petrochemical industry and is produced from oil, refined into naphtha, or from natural gas. In 2016, the petrochemical industry used around 17.4 million barrels of oil per day, which is just under 20% of global oil consumption. As is seen, petrochemical industry is a very capital-intensive business in a particularly unstable environment, whether for the upstream market (oil and gas) or the downstream markets (commodities).
Packaging is the main field for plastics’ consumption (150 million metric tons) followed by building and construction (60 million metric tons), textiles (55 million metric tons), consumer goods, the automotive sector and electronics.
Iran’s petrochemical industry was established in late 1950s. Availability of enormous hydrocarbon reserves and also having an exemplary domestic market, the industry rapidly developed in the ensuing years. Since its inception, the industry has travelled a long and challenging road from its humble origins to become a significant source in the global petrochemical market. The genesis of petrochemical industry in Iran dates back 1964, when the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) was set up to plan for the development of this high-potential industry.
JAM GROUP CO. is a prominent manufacturer, supplier and exporter of Virgin/Recycled polymeric products such as Polypropylene (PP), Polyethylene (PE), Polystyrene (PS), Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), and so on. Having a comprehensive knowledge about all the grades of polymeric products commercially and technically, makes us distinguished from our rivals in the market. Having the ability to supply Recycled Polymers, JAM GROUP CO. managed to pay its way into several markets in the Middle East.
Polypropylene (PP) | Polypropylene is a semi-crystalline polymer which is used vastly due to its unique mixture of attributes, cost and ease of manufacturing. All grades consist of polymer, a neutralizer and antioxidants. Other additives like clarifiers, nucleators, slip additives, UV stabilizers, silica, talc, and calcium carbonate are added to impart specific functionality. | Show More
Polyethylene (PE) | "There are several kinds of polyethylene (LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, UHMWPE), which are synthesized with different molecular weights and chain architectures. | Show More
Polystyrene (PS) | Polystyrene is a versatile plastic used to make a wide variety of consumer products. As a hard, solid plastic, it is often used in products that require clarity, such as food packaging and laboratory ware. When combined with various colorants, additives or other plastics, polystyrene is used to make appliances, electronics, automobile parts, toys, gardening pots and equipment and more. Polystyrene also is made into a foam material, called expanded polystyrene (EPS) or extruded polystyrene (XPS) | Show More
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) | Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) has got two major types: plasticized and unplasticized PVC. Plasticized PVC (pPVC) is flexible and is applied in flooring, wiring and wallpaper which need flexibility. Unplasticized PVC (uPVC) is rigid and is applied in pipes and cladding industries which need hard materials. Additives are the major discrimination point between the pPVC and uPVC, as they influence the material properties and recyclability. | Show More
Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) | Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) is one of those plastics playing a crucial role in the everyday life. This commercial product has wide range of application such as packaging, water bottles, fabrics, films, molded parts for automotive, electronics and so on. | Show More
Urea | Urea is a major source of Nitrogen and vital component of metabolism of broad organisms. Having numerous fruitful characteristics such as being solid, colorless, odorless, neither acidic nor alkaline, highly soluble in water, and relatively non-toxic, Urea is the major part of fertilizers and a high-demanding material. | Show More |
